September 5th Meeting and Letters for Soldiers

Hello ladies!

We hope everyone has a had a fantastic couple of weeks getting back into the groove of the back to school hustle and bustle, and hope you all have a fantastic long weekend ahead of you! I know it is much needed at our home, for sure. This summer really flew by, but we are ready for cooler-hoodie-weather and pumpkin-spice lattes, well really all things pumpkin. YUM!

Just wanted to remind you all of a few things before the next couple of days escape me.

First, please check your email and proof your information for 2013-2014 Moms TLC roster.

Meeting Housekeeping
Our next meeting is Thursday, September 5th, at 9:30 (childcare drop-off begins at 9:15).
Johanna Spille will be joining us and sharing her insight and experience in spiritual parenting and her family's journey in fully giving everything to God. You won't want to miss this special speaker!

If you are owing dues for this semester, remember to bring that with you to avoid a late fee.

The Lily Table will be preparing our breakfast. Thank you Lily Table!

If you need drop-in childcare for the September 5th meeting email Erica Luna or Table Coach, now!

Mark Your Calendars!
Our first Outreach event is right around the corner. On Monday, September 9th from 6:30-8:00pm our Moms TLC Outreach Team will be hosting Letters for Soldiers at Southeast Christian Church, in the church lobby.

This is a family event that is open to the entire community. We encourage you to invite as many people as you'd like. Ask friends, family, neighbors, everyone you know to come out and write a few words of encouragement to our troops.

There will be some supplies available, but if you have anything you would like to bring or donate it would be greatly appreciated. Examples of things needed are paper, pens, stickers, stationary, cards, anything you might have lying around your house.

If you are unable to attend, but would like to contribute a letter of gratitude you are welcome to bring your letter to the September 5th meeting .

Thank you Rose Table for sponsoring this event.

We look forward to seeing you all this coming Thursday!

In Christ's Love,
Heather Schetter

Family Conversation Jars 8.15.2013

Hello everyone,
What a wonderful way to start our upcoming year of building friendships and memories.

We hope you enjoyed getting to know your fellow-table moms and catching up with friends. It was so wonderful to see everyone

Thank you to the Leadership Team for a yummy breakfast!

Our first meeting featured a craft that we hope you will use and build on throughout this coming year as we focus on the book "Spiritual Parenting" with the use of Family Conversation Jars.

This craft was to jump start conversations and give you an opportunity to be a witness for Jesus to your kids through your words, in turn your kiddos might surprise you in what they have to say too!

Proverbs 22:6 says "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."

Isn't it amazing that we, as parents, are starting our children off with the building blocks and pieces of our own faith legacy that they will pass to their own children, that their children's children's children will someday inherit? We hope and pray that these Family Conversation Jars bring Jesus to the center of your daily conversation and help you in preparing that foundation for your kids.

Each Moms TLC meeting we will have some discussion time to share our family conversations that moved us or made us laugh. We will also use this time to brain-storm new questions to add to our jars.

If you missed the meeting, don't worry! We saved jars and decorating supplies so you can be a part of the fun!

See below some awesome examples from some of our awesome moms.

If you're interested in using this craft in your own ministry or would like to know more, please see the Contact Us section for more information.
