Upcoming Meeting: November 7th

Good morning friends,

Hope everyone had a safe and happy halloween and that you are all surviving the time change. I know it has been an interesting 48 hours at our home, for sure. :-)

This Thursday MOMs TLC will be meeting at 9:30 (childcare drop-off starts at 9:15) for a little fellowship and craft time. We will be making magnets with bottlecaps, a fun and easy craft that can be personalized and easily gifted to your friends and family.

As a reminder if you need drop-in childcare (your child does NOT regularly attend childcare) please let us know no later than 5pm today (Nov 4, 2013) so that staff is available to care for our precious kiddos; and if you and/or your kiddos are under the weather, while we will miss you greatly, we'd rather you stay home and get well rather than share. :-)

We look forward to seeing everyone Thursday! Have a blessed week and stay warm!

Operation Christmas Child

Good morning friends!

Thank you to everyone who made Operation Christmas Child Packing Party a success. What a wonderful blessing our group was able to provide to almost 300 children around the world!

Moms TLC filled 271 boxes and collected $675 in funds to be used for shipping costs!

AMAZING!

GOD IS SO GOOD and your dedication and excitement in spreading his love to the less fortunate is evidence of that! We should all be praise-filled to our Heavenly Father for providing us the means to give to others and spread his love through such a simple and meaningful gesture.

Please start your shopping and planning for Operation Christmas Child! It is right around the corner and $100 giftcard is up for grabs to the table that fills the most boxes!

Please submit your nominations for our Moms TLC Christmas Wish Wall and Thanksgiving Moms in Need as soon as possible! You may submit your nomination to Diana by email at dicrysler@gmail.com

If you are interested in learning more about SECOR and how they serve our community, please contact Diana. SECOR gives tours to interested volunteers and we would love to have a group from Moms TLC come check it out.

Operation Christmas Child

Our next big Outreach Event is just around the corner, Operation Christmas Child Packing Party on October 17th. Remember the table that packs the most boxes will win a fabulous giftcard to be applied to a Moms Night Out Celebration!

This meeting falls during many our school's fall breaks, so we would like extend the invitation to your school aged kiddos. Please feel free to bring your school-aged kids to help pack boxes. What a great opportunity to show your children the importance and joy in giving!

We hope you all have started brainstorming and list making for your boxes, but if you need some ideas here are some good starters.

Plastic shoe-boxes with lids

Stationary, pens, markers, crayons, pencils, pencil sharpeners

Small new toys from Happy Meals, cars, yo-yo's, puzzles, play jewelry, dolls

Washcloth, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, hair-care (brushes/combs/hair ties), kleenex

Socks, shirts, hats, flip-flops, underwear

Hard-candies, lolli-pops, chewing gum

Remember! No war related toys or items, no liquids or gels, no food.

It cost approximently $7 to ship a box to a child in need. Please consider asking your friends and family to sponsor a box or two.

4th Annual Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Good morning beautiful friends!
On Tuesday, October 1 from 9:30-2:00pm MOMS TLC invites all members, and friends and family of members to Flat Acres Farm for a fun filled time out at the pumpkin patch!
Much thanks to the Poppy Table for providing snacks and drinks.
Just mention you are with MOMS TLC when paying to get the discounted prices listed below. Your admission is good all day so if you have kiddos in school or want to include your husband who isn't available during the day, you are welcome to come get your tickets and come back while they are open (they close at dusk).
